Recently I service my Suzuki Gixxer bs3 bike at Suzuki service center, there was engine knocking noise issue so upon that they told me there is engine work to do and it would cost around 8-10 k and cost could fluctuate depending upon the problem. So I didn't approve for the work, but ask them is it would be beneficial to get the work done or buying new bike would be better. So they told me to get the work done as the issue will be resolve and the bike will easily cover at least 25- 30 k. So my question is my bike is 5 years old and there is engine related issue like knocking noise and engine oil burning which is costing me to change oil after 500 km and getting poor mileage. so is it worth getting engine issue fixed or buying new bike would be great option? Kindly suggest asap.
