Hai, i had repaired engine parts of my hero honda glamour 2010 model r

Hai, i had repaired engine parts of my hero honda glamour 2010 model recently, but the problem what iam facing now is some transparent smoke comes out from kicker side with scorched smell of oil after driving it for around 8km in 40speed and when i described this problem they said its because of remaining oil on engine parts, is it true?? Are they tricking me?? Pls answer
