Hi, Honda Shine is better than Yamaha SS-125. Both the bikes gives you almost the same power and mileage of around 58 to 65 kmpl. Honda Shine has more comfort in riding and handling and has reliable engine than Yamaha SS-125. So go for Honda Shine.

Raj, do you know what is the engine of Yamaha SS125 ?? It shares the same engine of Fazer(older version) and Gladiator, and the onwer of the those previous two bikes never complained about the engine. So, the engine of Yamaha SS125 has already past the test of reliability and durability.
And "Sam", are you a yamaha dealer ?? My friend got the delivery of Yamaha SS125 yesterday and I have seen some people are booking SS125 in that showroom, if it's production is stopped, then yamaha persons wouldn't took those booking. So, it is my request to you please dont make comments which you don't know properly.

i think yamaha ss125 is more better than shine. ss125 has better comfort in city and also in highways. I wish ss 125 will come with 100/90 rear tyre for best comfort. It can be used for long tours also

I also agree that yamaha ss125 is the best among all the 125cc bykes, since i have the same byke & it touches very smoothly 80km/hr without vibration, honda shine is smooth only upto 60km/hr.

I think the person who said Honda shine is better than Yamaha ss 125 is either a employee of Honda or he hasn't rode on Yamaha ss125. I rode both the bikes and found ss 125 gives 150 cc feel

Without riding any bike,it is difficult to say which is better performer. In city traffic shine is better than SS 125( within speed limit 40km/hr.But friends after 40,Yamaha is winner. No vibration upto 95km/hr.But Shine vibrates very badly after 50 km/hr.Vibrations come from oil tank & foot rest.Mechanics of the showrooms told that there is no vibration. It is OK.I feel sad,my gears also sliping.I use various types of engine oil,but as it is.So pls don't buy shine, paisa barbaad mat karo
