I m planning to take a bike in 200-250 cc category.. i m confused between karizma r and karizma zmr. since i m very much attracted to looks and designs of zmr..i dont know much about mileage of zmr and wat about performance wise...accd to u which 1 shuld i go if u hv any suugestions so plz suggest

Hi, Hero Honda Karizma zmr gives more mileage than Karizma-R because of the PGM-Fi technology used in the bike. Karizma zmr gives mileage of around 35 to 40 kmpl and top speed of 126 kmph and power of 17.6 hp @ 7000 rpm with 5- speed gear box where as Karizma-R gives mileage of around 32 to 36 kmpl. Karizma zmr has more power, pick up and speed than Karizma-R. But if you want more power, pick up, speed and more comfort in riding and handling then go for the Honda CBR 250R, with PGM-Fi technology. The CBR 250R, gives mileage of around 25 to 32 kmpl depending upon the riding conditions. The bike has a top speed of 163 kmph and power of 25.8 hp @ 8500 rpm with 6- speed gear box. So better go for Honda CBR 250R.

The only difference is that the ZMR has a fairing, new metres, better suspension, fatter rear tyre and rear disk, and fuel injection. For all this, charging Rs 30000 more is not justified. 99% mechanics are not trained to service the fuel injection system so repairing the bike would be impossible if it breaks down on a long ride. Better save your money and go for the Karizma R as it matches the ZMR on all aspects apart from looks.
