"I'm delighted to have joined Triumph as the brand looks to embark on a well phased out strategy for the Indian market. Along with that a network of genuine parts, seamless after-sales services to authentic merchandise and accessories will be ensured to treat its valuable customers to the fullest.

The company will be assembling some of its models at the CKS plant at Manesar, in Haryana. This will reduce a lot in terms of duty tax and will be much attractive for the customers. However, the firm hasn't disclosed which all motorcycles will be assembled and which all will be lined up in India.

The arrival of Triumph Motorcycles will be a great challenge for the final luxury of motorcycling, Harley-Davidson. It's for sure that Triumph will be put on tempting price tags to attract those who are making way to HD stores.

"2013 is a very crucial year for Triumph Motorcycles in India and as a company, we are confident about the timing of our market entry. In the past few months, we have carefully assessed the market landscape and will be making well-honed efforts to provide our discerning customers with a complete brand experience," said Paul Stroud, Director Sales & Marketing (global).
