Karizma ZMR PGM…Zoom…..Zoom on a ZMR

The 'Phantom' has arrived- the Hero Honda Karizma ZMR PGM Fi has finally unmasked, after the pictures of the bike were leaked out on the net that sent a frenzy amongst the Indian bike lovers, especially all those Karizma fans.

All the speculations are now put to rest and here we have the new Karizma ZMR to mark its arrival with a wild roar. The bike had created a mystery in the market and nobody could wait to see what this roaring beast had in the offing. The wait is over; hold your breath for you are in for a joyous ride on the new Karizma ZMR!

Looks of the new ZMR
The Hero Honda Karizma ZMR looks simply mind blowing. In fact, ZMR sports a rugged look that kind of appeals to the in-20s youth. The spy pictures had created quite a wave of anxiety and people who had the first glance of those snaps will definitely not be disappointed.



The full front fairing body and redesigned bodywork was conspicuous from the beginning and the Karizma ZMR PGM features advanced technology of fuel injection. The under cowl looks sporty and supports the aerodynamics of the vehicle. The dials are featured in bight yellow colour to promote a clear visibility during the daytime. The new graphics are stylish and bold and the muffler has a chrome finish that gives the bike a classier look. The new Karizma ZMR is close to a perfect piece of engineering.

Engine and Performance
The Karizma ZMR PGM Fi features a liquid cool 223cc engine and the new fuel injection generates a power of 17.6bhp at 7000rpm with a maximum torque of 18.35Nm at 6000rpm. The new Karizma ZMR assures a top speed of 126 kmph. But it's a let down to the speeding bikers as the speed is lower as compared to the Bajaj Pulsar DTS-I 225cc, which has a top speed of 144 kmph.

Considering the fact that the ZMR has PGM Fi or Programmable fuel injection it was expected to give better power and torque; at least a 20bhp with the maximum torque of 23Nm would do a lot more good, so another let down here.



However the new Karizma PGM Fi is braced with a twelve-hole fuel injector, six sensors to monitor air pressure, engine temperature and also takes care of right combination of air and fuel ratio under various conditions. The vertical oil cooler helps in better cooling and also supports the engine performance and the idle air control valve or IACV aids better stability and enhances the throttle changes.

Handling and comfort
One best thing about the Karizma ZMR PGM Fi is that it offers an easy and a comfortable ride and the credit goes to the custom made seating arrangement and this sets apart ZMR PGM Fi from its adversaries. The raised handlebars are easily accessible and the foot pegs are just perfect for a smooth ride. The bike will prove to be the best partner on a hilly terrain. However, the new ZMR will not be the bike for short stature bikers.

Pricing
The new Hero Honda Karizma ZMR PGM Fi is priced at Rs. 91,000, which can raise many eyebrows and when compared to its rival bike Bajaj Pulsar DTS-I this one is a little on the higher side no doubt. The bike is available in pearl white, moon yellow, panther black, vibrant blue and sporty red colours.

The Karizma ZMR has striking looks that can give a tough competition to the other bikes in the same league but power and price wise the bike might disappoint many bike lovers, but Karizmas have always been head turners and never let downers, the new ZMR will hopefully join the same league.
