Suzuki motorcycle plant at Rohtak, Haryana gets government nod

SMIPL (Suzuki Motortcycle India Pvt Ltd.,) a subsidiary of Suzuki Motors the Japanese Multinational Corporation gets a green signal from the government of Haryana to set up its new plant in Rohtak, Haryana. The government of Haryana approved a budget of Rs. 2000 crores for the plant by the auto major that would turn over huge quantity of 500k units a month by 2014 and eventually scaling up to a 2 million units by 2014. Not just that, the new Suzuki plant will generate direct employment to about 4000 people and indirect employment to many thousands in the region.



The company currently has a manufacturing unit in Kerkhi Daula, Gurgaon which has an annual production turnover of 250k units.

Haryana already has plants of Harley-Davidson and Hero Motocorp and has been a favored place for automobile manufacturers.

Suzuki GSX 150R

SMIPL has a decent lineup of two wheelers frayed in the Indian two wheeler market but the most successful current models include the Suzuki GS150 and the Suzuki Access 125, which has won many accolades.
