F650GS to be launched in India by BMW Motorrad

The premium bike segment of India is expanding day by day with the entry of global heroes with their top quality products. Here comes another global biggie, BMW Mottorrad with their product- F650GS.



The 798cc parallel twin engine powered off-roader, with a peak power output of 71 PS of peak power and 75Nm of peak torque is expected to arrive in May 2012. The F650 GS weighs at a rather heavy 200kg, but the healthy power, by Indian standards should make it one of the faster machines on two wheels here.



With its impeccable off-road credentials, the F650 should come as a great option for serious tour lovers who have the money to spare. The only trouble is the high 820mm of seat height which wouldn't be very suitable for those with a short stature.

This product, which expects a price tag ranging between Rs 8 to 10 lakh will be one among the many coming from BMW. The quality of the product will keep up the high standards set by the four wheelers from this company.
