The 798cc parallel twin engine powered off-roader, with a peak power output of 71 PS of peak power and 75Nm of peak torque is expected to arrive in May 2012. The F650 GS weighs at a rather heavy 200kg, but the healthy power, by Indian standards should make it one of the faster machines on two wheels here.
With its impeccable off-road credentials, the F650 should come as a great option for serious tour lovers who have the money to spare. The only trouble is the high 820mm of seat height which wouldn't be very suitable for those with a short stature.
This product, which expects a price tag ranging between Rs 8 to 10 lakh will be one among the many coming from BMW. The quality of the product will keep up the high standards set by the four wheelers from this company.
