Piaggio Vespa LX125 launch deferred

It is never going to be easy to regain lost market and that's what Piaggio's faux pas says. The company has postponed launch of Vespa LX125 in the last minute. Although not official the reason for the delay is a decision the company made in the last minute to change the boards at their dealerships, which the company believes should elevate the brand and give the company needed platform for a good comeback.

Piaggio has been endeavoring very hard to make a come back with the launch of Vespa LX125 but things haven't been that easy for the scooter company that once had a product, which was synonymous (almost) with scooter.

Vespa LX 125

Vespa LX125 is being made at company's Baramati plant and aims to produce 1.5 lakh units per year. Although the company didn't give any indication about the price of the scooter it is speculated that Piaggio will keep the pricing of Vespa LX125 in the Rs. 50,000 to 55,000. Piaggio has been pegging the new model as a day to day commuting companion. What makes Vespa LX125 so much worth waiting is superb quality and 3-coat paint finish that expensive cars usually come. As for technical specifications the Piaggio Vespa LX125 comes with a 124cc one-cylinder 4-stroke EI (electronic injection) engine. The scooter comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres and features both kick and electric start options.
