Yamaha launches facelift received Fazer and FZ variant bikes

Yamaha India, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese bike major Yamaha has come with launch of facelift versions of Fazer, FZ-16 and FZ-S bikes.

It should be noted that Yamaha India relaunched Fazer series bike a few months back after giving it a cosmetic tweak; the bike was re-launched in all-black theme instead of the silver side panels.

The facelift although gave them purely cosmetic lifts still lend the Fazer and the FZ versions some fresh touch. On the mechanical side there aren't any noteworthy changes but the bikes now come in fresh color schemes to woo the biking generation.

What do you get from the facelifted Fazer and FZ bikes?
Yellow Streak, Golden Streak, Black Cyber Green and Competition White color schemes with new sporty graphics and a brand new Yamaha logo is the package you get.

The facelift approach is to further push the brand forward and with new marketing strategies and brand ambassador Bollywood hunk John Abraham the company expects to penetrate the market much better than before.



According to Hiroyuki Suzuki, the Managing Director and CEO Yamaha India, "The FZ series has gained immense popularity among youngsters since its launch in September 2008. The introduction of the FZ series in a whole new look is in line with our strategy to consistently provide our customers with fresh and new offerings."

Another convenience add on the new versions have is the kick start which was missing in the facelift FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer versions. Customers had been complaining the lack of the kick start and the company addressed it now. The new FZ-16 will come with price tag of Rs. 67,000, the FZ-S Rs. 69,000 and the Fazer costs Rs. 74,000 (all ex-showroom price, New Delhi).

The company hopes that the facelift coupled with their 360-degree marketing approach will take the market by storm and the new Fazer and FZ versions will become instantly popular with the bikers.
