News from Bajaj is that the homegrown auto major will launch Boxer 150cc version in April 2011. This confirms the news that came earlier saying that Bajaj will introduce the Boxer brand yet again to Indian motorists.

Boxer became almost a household name in 90s and popular 100cc Bajaj model until the production stopped in 2004; and it came in AT and Deluxe versions priced under Rs. 40,000.

So when news came that Boxer brand would be reintroduced noone ever expected it would be a 150cc Boxer, but Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director Bajaj Auto addressed media and shared their plan of re-launching Boxer as utility brand in the country. With the entry of Boxer too, Bajaj will have 3 models in the 150cc segment (including Bajaj Pulsar 150cc, Bajaj Discover 150cc) and with 3 price ranges for the three models the company believes it can capture a big share of market from the segment.
