TVS all set to launch Apache RTR 180 ABS in India

TVS Motors is all working its way to bring out the Apache RTR 180 ABS version in India.

If rumors (from several sources) are to be taken seriously the TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS will soon kiss Indian roads. TVS has remained silent all these days about the ABS version of the Apache 180 RTR; but the South Indian auto major is going to come with the launch in 2011.

TVS Apache RTR 180 is touted as a performer 180cc bike with affordable price tag, but the growing demand for an ABS version prompted the company to work for it. According to rumors, the new Apache RTR 180 ABS version would be priced about Rs. 8k higher than the non ABS version and that would make the price of the bike Rs. 80,000.

The Apache RTR 180 is a decent looking bike with sturdy body. Bike dimensions of, length around 2085 mm, width of 730 mm and height of the bike 1100 mm and with a wheelbase of 1326 mm it appeals to every eye.



Powered by 4 stroke single-cylinder engine it gives a displacement of 177.4 cc. The engine powers to give a speed of 125 kilometer max per hour. The maximum power generated by the engine is 17.03 PS @ 8500 rpm and produces a peak of torque 15.5 Nm @ 6500 rpm.

The auto major succeeded well in raising the ride experience of Indian bikers and the racing division of the auto major produced sports bikes stuffed with latest technology and advanced features.

In the new TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS version there will be speed sensors with an ECU (Electronic Control Unit). While the speed sensors sense the rotations of wheels per second, the wheels come with HECU technology actually enables the wheels to not locking up. In all, it would ensure better safety to rider and the pillion.

Besides, the new TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS comes with one more advanced safety feature which is the RLP technology. The 'Rear Wheel lift-off Protection' or the RLP keeps the rear wheel grounded firm and prevents it from lifting especially during hard braking situations. RLP technology comes with a sensor which senses lifting off of the rear wheel and instantly loosens pressure for a little time of front brake.

With new value add-on's that can ensure safer and enhanced riding pleasure to bikers, it is hoped that the new TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS will be another auto engineering marvel from the TVS and that TVS' concerted efforts would appease all Apache lovers who are earnestly waiting for the launch of the beauty.
