The Honda CB Shine was launched as 'Shine' and they upgraded the brand to 'CB Shine' in 2010.

In 2017 Honda upgraded their CB Shine to satisfy the latest emission norms of the country. They launched the refined CB Shine equipped with BS-IV compliant engine in the month of February 2017. Mechanically, nothing has changed, apart from some minor cosmetic changes. And those are; new Honda 3D emblem, new tail lamp, new carburettor cover and new chrome muffler. It also gets AHO (Auto Headlamp On) as a standard feature.

The new 2017 CB Shine BS-IV features two new paint schemes like Athletic Blue and Imperial Red. Altogether, the premiumness of the two-wheeler has increased a bit.

Honda CB Shine

The CB Shine is an upgrade to the Shine which got launched back in 2010. What makes the new CB shine different from its older version is that the newer ones come with a with BS-IV compliant engine in the new CB Sine along with god cosmetic upgrades. Apart from that, the cosmetic changes include the 3D emblem of Honda engraved on it, a very brand new tail lamp, very new carburettor cover and all new chrome muffler. It also gets AHO (Auto Headlamp On) as a standard feature.

Engine

The new CB Shine comes with a 124 cc Air cooled, 4 strokes, SI engine that produces 10.16 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 10.30 Nm torque @ 5500 rpm. The engine is refined to provide a friction-free power delivery, this ensures that the CB Shine is all good for a ride around the city, town and even traffic with ease. The CB Shine uses electric push start, as well as the traditional kick-start to start the bike.

Chassis, Suspension and Braking

The CB Shine comes with a Diamond Type and it holds the whole motorcycle together. Along with that, the front suspension of the bike uses Telescopic Fork and the rear uses Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type suspension. The suspension setup is ideal for local commutes, but the bike may vibrate when it reaches top speed. The CB Shine is well ridden at its economy range and returns good mileage and pickup.

Honda CB Shine


The CB Shine comes with Drum braking system at the front and rear, but Honda has given an optional 240 mm optional Disc brakes to this new CB Shine. This ensures that this commuter is all good even at high speeds and hefty traffic alike. Honda has incorporated alloy wheels in the Shine to make it easy to fix on flat tyres. The alloy wheels also ensure light weightedness to the overall weight of the bike, which comes at just 123 kg.

The Honda CB Shine packs all necessary features to make daily commuting easier. The Honda engine provides a very refines and well-tuned performance to the bike. The look and feel of the CB Shine are made to look it more premium and nimble to handle around cities. When looking at it overall, the CB Shine is a good upgrade by Honda and will satisfy all the daily commuting needs of all users.
