The younger sibling of the Royal Enfield Classic bikes launched recently; the Classic 350cc seem to hold the Enfield legacy high and up. For God-knows-why reasons Royal Enfield wanted to brush off the tag of Bullet with these Classic versions and so be it say bike lovers already. The company likes the Classic 500 and the Classic 350 to be identified as Royal Enfield Classic models at that.
The Classic 350cc doesn’t need to be loud to get identified as it comes out of a Royal Enfield lineage and the muscle speaks high of the thumper. It is designed retaining those typical Royal Enfield characteristics and so will not disappoint bike enthusiasts, especially Enfield lovers.
If you ask the unique features that Royal Enfield Classic models sport, then the 2 models Royal Enfield Classic 500 and Royal Enfield Classic 350 both sport 18-inch spoke wheels for extra handling and ride comfort.
As regards the headlamp and the tail lamp, while the headlight casing looks like tiger-eye-like lamps, the tail lamp assembly looks vintage and classic, and definitely not flimsy. Although the headlamp is pretty much retained the traditional way, the powerful halogen is the new add on in the Classic 350cc to give that contemporary look besides brilliant illumination.
The fuel tank, toolbox and the air filter box all sport classic looks, and the crafted fuel tank with its graphics and thigh-resting pads give the bike somewhat a retro look. The speedometer and the fuel indicator are both integrated into headlight casing. The font on speedometer gives it an amazing British style. The one-seat saddle is designed with springed seat to render maximum comfort and relaxing ride position.
Looks and style of the Royal Enfield Classic 350cc
The number plate, logo and the bike colors reflect post war looks. The design was tweaked neatly to result in a Classic 350cc while retaining the Enfield legacy of WWII models.
That round headlamp casing still, the analog valves, the explicit steel springs and the retro-looking fenders especially of the back tyre all give an impression that it is to show the style of those days to the modern day bikers. So is the case with even the number plate, saddle, mudguards, spoked wheels, fuel tank, exhaust and the headlamp casing; definitely demanding second glance to say the least.
Engine of Royal Enfield Classic 350cc
The bike runs on a powerful 346cc engine from Thunderbird Twinspark, and it generates a torque of 19.8 Bhp of maximum power at 5250 revs giving 28 Nm of torque. We will talk about UCE or the Unit Construction Engine in detail. However, there is not much of a difference between Royal Enfield Classic 500 and Classic 350cc other than the engine capacity.
UCE: The Royal Enfield Classic engine comes with clutch and the gearbox which are integrated into crank case and they are situated outside. The UCE or the Unit Construction Engine reduces transmission losses and are absolutely hassle free when it comes to maintenance.
Thankfully, Royal Enfield has given its Classic models some cool and contemporary features including the electric start as well as the 280mm disc brakes (for Classic 350cc the disc brakes are in the front). It has also ditched the carburetor fuel injection and voted for modern electronic fuel injection system; the EFI is integrated to the 5-speed gearbox. The EFI as in any 4-stroke bike ensures improved air-fuel mixture combustion, and smoother start with better power delivery over a range of terrains; and as will be the emissions would be a lot environment friendly.
Royal Enfield Classic 350cc comes in colors of red, black and silver and comes under 100,000 price in INR. Its Ex-showroom Delhi price comes to Rs. 99,000.00 (worth a Royal Enfield Classic).
The Classic 350cc from the Royal Enfield stable is going to give the Yamahas and the Ninjas a run for their money; looks like.

Hi all,
Please suggest. SHoudl I go for Thunderbird Twin SPark or Classic 350.
Performance wise i heard both are almost the same..
I am 6.1 feet tall and kinda heavy personality.. I badly want classic 350 but am afraid if it will go with my looks. Please suggest..
Regards
Ravi
@ Ravichandra,
I took a test ride for Classic 350 yesterday.
I’m just 5’6″ tall. What I felt was classic series are meant for people shorter than 6′.
Since u r 6’1″, hope Thunder Bird might suit u better than Classic series…
Thunder Bird is little taller than the classic 350/500, but compared to the engine, all 350cc vehicles are employed with the same engine with little change with the body designs…
More over the performance is also the same…
I own a standard 350, and I love my bike.I just got into the blog just to say that Nrj is simply very interesting.Nrj, please continue to enlighten us.
I am planning to book Classic 350 RE and had a test drive too. Just i wanted to know user’s feedback.

The driving comfort is very good and i am 6feet height. Can anyone please tell me does it suit for tall people?

HI,
I had a test ride for both Thunderbird and Classic 350.
I am confused now which one to take and please give me your valuable suggestions.
I feel Classic 350 has more driving comfort when compared with TBTS. While taking a deep turn and handling wise.

Comments!!!! Some are nice to read and some are funny,,,,
Classic 500 a Good bike,, All bikes has its own Adv and Disadv,,,
Ul not get all in one,,,But this vehicle is good i have a black from past 3 months, I liked maroon so booked even that il get it by sat,,,
we have total 6 vehicle all are of RE,,,From bullet to Classic 500,,,
So there is a BULLET for everyone in your family, great..! what about the black & grey, try to get them too, RE group will be proud of you..
Black color is good and common,,,,Which is good for formal persons
Maroon really attractive color, As it matches with croam
Silver is not a good match with croam.
Yeah.. You must also check if your skin colour matches with ‘croam’
Correct autoraja. If you are white and you buy croam you will be like white ipod which is for girls; which is good if you are a girl. if you are good croam will be good because you will look like nice black ipod.
bullet is a classic machine and it has its own heritage and it is above all cruser bikes and today it is leading its way towards modern generation racing bike and it depends upon how u want to use this royal macho machine .
Ok. old and classic; modern and whatever. Good. What else can I use it as? Toothbrush?
bullet is a classic machine and it has its own heritage and it is above all cruser bikes
will this new generation royal enfield engine keep its royal heritage or it gets shattered as the days passes by, lets wait and see what the mighty bike says in coming days hope will keep its legacy and makes more prouder than its older version of the bike.
What will the ‘mighty’ bike say? ofcourse.. “dhug dhug dhug dhug…”
Hi to all bullet lovers, i have a classic 350 since nov2010, no doubt its a bull and treat to drive but i also fell the vibration after 80 km/hr and the voice is not as good as in 70s bullet, its average is bettween 38 to 45 in city. i am planning to go leh-laddak on my bike, anyone hwo has done that trip please advice me regarding the trip.
thanks
daga
Go by sea root,i will bet u will never feel sound or vibration..
Or you can go in Auto which has true Indian Heritage.. and better sound and vibratios. Also instead of sea ‘root’ you can sit in the back seat and have beet’root’
If you are on a trip, you have to pack your bag first of all, fill the tank(with petrol only) and take some eatables since you are on a journey, don’t forget to take the Water Bottle as you may feel thirsty.
Also don’t forget to take chaddis with you to change daily or else you know how you will be smelling…………..
Ashwin I can imagine how you smell. And you seem very intelligent and well informed. Wanna join me for this trip?
Sorry Buddy, I don’t join the league of NR”gays”.
Vibrations at 80? not a bad speed. Accelerate further till it gets Orgaaassmic!!!
Royal Enfield is not just about to buy a bike, it’s a passion n love for bullet. if u love bullet then no matter about model, buy anyone n u can get d same feeling on each n every RE.
