Believe it or not Worlds favourite Harley Davidson is coming to India

For all you bike lovers, here is some mind-blowing news; Harley Davidson is arriving in India on the August end, 2009.

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers is organising an Annual Convention 2009, and it is learnt that they have invited the president of Harley Davidson, Matt Levatich so the launch will coincide with this convention.



Harley Davidson has made this spectacular move of launching them here inspired by the success of other international super bikes such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Ducati.



So, brace yourself for some more terrific news; Harley Davidson is coming up with its Roadster and Fatboy versions which are powered by 883cc engine. Want some more? These bikes will be launched as CBU or Complete Built Units. And hold your breath for this one! Because the bikes will be available at a starting price tag of Rs. 10 lakhs!

Royal Enfield was the only bike company until now in India that rolled cruisers in the market but Harley Davidson with its latest announcement would make a grand entry with their range of cruisers in India.

Harley Davidson has taken a positive step this time around after having made three attempts to launch their bikes in India and failed.

The bike manufacturer was apprehensive about the import duty and it is this that caused the delay in the launch of the HD cruisers here.
