Bajaj Auto that slowly slipped off the 100 cc segment some two years back have come back with an announcement of their plans to re enter the 100 cc segment with innovative launch to lift their falling sales figures.
The USP for Bajaj will be the ultra-modern looks of bike that comes at low cost. Bajaj has already started production of these bikes in China to cater to the African market, but in a few months' time people will see 100 cc bikes from Bajaj Auto, speeding the Indian roads.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) too indicated their plans to launch an all-new 100cc bike with aggressive pricing. The company plans to keep the price range between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000. Honda will launch this new bike with an aim to satisfy its customers in terms of quality and also make it as a value-for-money bike because 36 lakh unit annual sales of Hero Honda is indeed from this 100 cc segment.

What this means? In the coming months there will be tough war in terms of pricing and quality of the 100cc bikes and the winner in it will definitely be Indian consumers!
