Bajaj KTM Joint Venture Bikes to be rolled out at Delhi Auto Expo in 2010

Bajaj-KTM collaboration will unveil new bikes that fall in the range of 125 to 250cc during Delhi auto expo in 2010. The two auto makers signed an agreement 18 months back to produce motorcycles as a joint venture.

As of now, it is rumored that these bikes will run on liquid-cooled engines and they will reiterate the position of Bajaj Auto in India especially the motorcycles division.

Bajaj lately is losing its market share to Hero Honda, and the launch of newer Yamaha bikes are giving Bajaj Auto a run for their money.

It is known that Bajaj auto bought 32% stake in KTM sometime back, and the joint venture products will be unveiled at the Delhi auto expo in 2010; however, even before unveiling them in India, KTM said it will release these models at the Milan international bike show.

Bajaj says that it will start mass scale making of these new bike models from its Chakan facility from 2010 and people can hope to see some truly world class bikes in India that will be sold in European countries too.

However, there is not much information at this point in time regarding the launch of Kawasaki Ninja 250cc, the much anticipated Ninja bike in India.
