Honda launches new version of Activa. The design received some tweaks and it will be a curvy styled one with aerodynamic features. The headlamps are revamped to sport new look. The new Activa will run on a 109cc 4 stroke engine that pumps a power output of 8.8 bhp at 7500rpm and that’s quite an improvement over its earlier Activa.
The makers now believe that the new Honda Activa will be able to compete with bikes as well in terms of pick up. Another add-on to the new Honda Activa will be the combined brake feature which implies applying any of the brakes will stop the scooter. The new Honda Activa will have reduced fuel tank storage (only 5.3 liter capacity), and comes with both kick and self start mechanisms.
The new Honda Activa will weigh lesser than its forerunner, implying it will becomes easier not in only handling but also betters the mileage factor. The company will be using low-weight metal to make the body as well as some parts of it to bring down total kerb weight of the scooter. The rear tyre is a tuff up tube implying it will be puncture resistant (or at least it can take you to a puncture man) and there is key shutter and optional glove box.
The ground clearance is not changed, but the new Honda Activa is taller by about 17 mm and the saddle height is raised by 5mm over its predecessor. Furthermore, the under seat storage space will be more (18 Liters), and it will be lit to add to the convenience quotient of the new Activa users. The production of new Activa is already underway and we hope to see more of them on roads in the coming months.
The new Activa comes in 2 variants of Standard and Deluxe. The new Activa comes in two variants; Activa Standard and Activa Deluxe both in six colors- Black, candy lucid red, grey metallic, force silver metallic, pearl sunbeam white and wild purple metallic. The new Honda Activa Standard is priced at Rs 39,800 in Delhi and Rs. 41,300 in Pune, respectively.
