Yamaha YZF R15 2.0, the new Yamaha R15 launched

Japanese based Yamaha Motors has come up with a big surprise package, The Yamaha YZF R15 2.0 has been launched today in India with a price tag that would jaw drops of many; Rs 1.07 lacs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The YZF-R15 version 2.0 runs on a 150cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke fuel injected engine and bookings for the R15 version 2.0 are open from today throughout India from the Yamaha dealerships.



The design of the New Yamaha YZF R15 2.0 has been taken from Yamaha YZF-R1 super sportbike. Yamaha Motors expects that the new YZF R15 will be ideal to cater the sports bike enthusiasts. The company says the new R15 upgrade will actually bring in a new dimension to sports biking in India.

While it maybe just a face-lifted YZF-R15, it still has appreciable changes; the liquid-cooled engine for instance is one that's more popular with the higher capacity bikes. According the bike maker in the YZF-R15 2.0 engine a special lightweight aluminum radiator along with body design facilitates use of airflow for heat reduction thus performance doesn't dampen during long distance or otherwise high peed riding or during mountain riding.



The technical specifications of the new R15 version though remain the same 150cc engine delivering power of 17PS @ 8500 rpm and peak torque of 15Nm @ 7500 rpm. The tweaks though will be

The low front and high tail design of the bike gives the bikers sporty ride feel while it can be a good commuter for everyday riding as well.

The YZF R15 2.0 weighs 136 kgs and comes in 3 new exciting colors: Racing Blue, Sunset Red and Mignight Black.
