New Yamaha R15 launch on September 6th

New Yamaha R15 has been in news for sometime now, and when the grunts from auto circles has peaked complaining that Yamaha has been keeping the new Yamaha R15 launch on hold, but no when the topic has been bordering the zone of boredom its now certain- the launch of new Yamaha R15 will be on September 06, 2011 in Delhi.

The bike that Yamaha fondly says R15 2.0 version has actually been spotted by many enthusiasts during its testing on roads of Mumbai and Delhi on many occasions.

What can you expect in the new Yamaha R15?
New R15 brings in several new features; especially in the style department. It features a total new rear and it is raised high to give it a super bike like appearance and it sure will draw eyeballs from all over.



The raised rear with a very wide rear tyre and tweaked alloy wheels with 10 spokes will give the Yamaha R15 2.0 radical looks that would find favor with the Indian bike riding enthusiasts. The bike endorses new muffler which is one faux carbon insert to give the bike racy looks. Engine is powder coated and the wide rear tyre comes with a tyre hugger as well as a floating yet high number plate holder.

As regards the engine it is still unsure if the R15 2.0 endorses the same engine or a newer one which will fork out more power and torque that will also compensate for the wider rear tyre.



The company maintains that the new R15 will be leaner and meaner. There are also rumors that the parts for the new Yamaha R15 are being localized and if that's got to be true we can expect the price of the new Yamaha R15 to be competitive and speculate Yamaha passing the localization advantage to customers.
