LML Star 200 4S to be launched in India in a month's time

The scooterists have some good news to cheer about this year, as LML has announced the launch of Star 200 in the month of September. The company had recently launched Select 4-geared stroke scooter and now the Star, which is said to be a powerful vehicle in the scooter segment. And the launch is presumed to be the flagship model for the Indian market. The images of the new LML Star is conspicuous of the fact that it belongs to the up market and that description quite suffices to the looks of the scooter.

First glance at the pictures of the LML Star simply exudes class and it clearly looks sleek for a scooter. And as it would belong to the hi-end segment it will certainly be equipped with super classy features that will ensure to make the ride smooth and comfortable.



The lifestyle scooter from LML will come running on a 200cc engine along with 4-speed hand shift gearbox, which is believed to produce a power of 11.5 bhp and 14.5Nm of torque. Similar to many scooters, the engine of the LML Star 200 too looks to have gotten minimum done for torque. Therefore riding it around the city traffic could be a not so pleasant experience but clearly the Star will be a power and performance oriented scooter.

The LML Star 200 is likely to be priced around Rs 55,000, which may be a little higher price to pay for a scooter but considering its looks and performance it may have a decent number of buyers. The company also believes that the Star will give a decent mileage of 50 kmpl.

The aggressive competition in the two-wheeler market in India might be the biggest concern for LML, as to how it will be able sustain and survive its 'Star' model in the fierce battle of two-wheelers. Of course the company is willing to revive the 1991 days of success but today's market has gone through sea change and we have to wait and watch the fate of LML Star; whether it will be a rising star or the falling star is the big question.
