Bajaj Auto launches 2011 Discover 100cc bike


Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto Limited has launched 2011 Discover 100, to mark 40 lakh sales figure of Bajaj Discover.

The company's flagship brand which was introduced in 2004 touched 40 lakh sales mark which is no mean achievement which just two variants (Discover 100cc and Discover 150cc) and the company admits the same by launching a face lifted 2011 Bajaj Discover.

The 2011 Discover doesn't come with any technical upgrades but for multi-colored decals in two color options of Golden green and Red magenta. And according to the company there is an innovative and premium feature called 'Auto Colour change' which is a first of kind sticker on a bike in the country and the color appears to have changed when viewed from different angles in sunlight.

The company also says that the Discover 100cc scores good in terms of fuel efficiency as well as pickup and is kind of giving good competition to the market leader Hero Honda Splendor.



According to Bajaj, Discover has always been that brand working well for the company in terms of sales output despite several of its variants witnessing demise. During 2010 the company launched Discover 150cc and it has been received well by people and the company plans to bring another Discover in 2011 which will run on 125cc engine or which will be a watered-down Pulsar 135cc. Bajaj Auto says that the 2011 Discover 100cc will offer a fuel economy of 80 kmpl. The company has recently appointed around 130 new dealers across the country and believes they'd contribute to the increasing marketing of the 2011 Discover along with other brands.
