Suzuki has been launching its two wheelers in the India and seeing good success, the global auto major now plans to launch its globally popular scooter in India.
The Suzuki F1 scooter, as it is known in the international two wheeler market will be launched in India as Suzuki Skydrive. The F1 scooter aka Suzuki Skydrive is a 125cc scooter that appeals to both sexes and the company says suits perfectly to the Indian ride/road conditions.
Suzuki Skydrive looks like a bulky moped if not like an active or an access and has a hugely aerodynamic body with attractive headlight. It comes with a single stepped seat for comfortable seating to rider and the pillion.
The scooter comes with kick start and auto start options and runs on a 124cc, 4 stroke, air-cooled SOHC engine that produces great power and torque numbers.
The Suzuki Skydrive 125cc sports telescopic, coil spring oil damped suspension in the front and a swing-arm type, coil spring, oil damped suspension at the rear end to give comfortable ride even in city riding.
Suzuki has been a part of Indian ride and traffic situations and has addressed the safety issues in the Skydrive scooter by providing hydraulic disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The scooter also sports alloy wheels, roomy foot board besides many attractions that can grab the attention of onlookers.
Suzuki hopes that the Skydrive will be able to get decent market share in the competitive market scenario.
Suzuki F1 scooter comes in colors of silver, black and red in the international market. It is expected that the same color options might be given to the Skydrive too in India. It is also expected that the Skydrive will come with a price tag of Rs. 45,000.
