Honda plans to be more active in Indian market by 2012

Honda, who have always come up with trusted bikes like CB Unicorn and Activa is coming up with two new products next year to become more active in Indian automobile market.

For the financial year 2012, HMSI(Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) had earlier set a target of selling 2.1 Mn units. Now, the company has become more confident of achieving the target, following the news in 'Financial Chronicle'. The report says that companies like Bajaj, Hero MotorCorp, TVS etc reported a fall in sales of 5-15% in October compared to September, while Honda Motorcycle have reported only a marginal drop. This report clearly shows the potential of Honda in Indian automobile industry.

The reason behind the confidence of Honda in achieving the target is their new plant, which started working in Rajasthan. A second plant is also under construction in Rajasthan which will eventually help the company to make larger number of products.

The main problem that the company faces is that, the customers are made to wait for their orders to get delivered. With two new plants coming up, Honda is confident of solving this issue.

Of the two new products that is to be launched next year, one will be a bike and the other will be a scooter. It is expected that the scooter will be a trend setter like 'Activa' in Indian automobile industry.

According to the informations available, Honda is aiming the youth all over India with its new motorcycle and the scooter will be showcased in the Delhi auto expo-2012. As Honda company is reliable, it is expected that both of their products will be worth waiting.
