Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 to Touch down on October 11

The countdown has begun. Shutting down all rumours unequivocally, the Harley Davidson of Indian motorcycles, the Royal Enfield officially announced the unveil of the all new Thunderbird 500, which is to be taken place on October 11.

To be a full fledged cruiser, the all new Thunderbird 500 comes with a range of features and refined specifications apart from its left models. Though the consortium hasn't officially revealed the technical specifications regarding it, some leaks predict on its spec. That is, the machine is to be powered by a 499cc, Single Cylinder, 4 Stroke, OHV, SI Engine, Air cooled, and Keihin Electronic Fuel Injection engine. The engine produces a maximum power of 27.2 bhp @ 5250 rpm and maximum torque of 41.3 Nm @ 4000 rpm. Mated with 5 speed transmission, the Thunderbird 500 converts nothing.



What make the Thunderbird 500 very special are its hallmarks that bring out an ultimate cruiser on the road. The bike has been upgraded with a new handlebar for better ergonomics, and a couple of cruising mirrors. Using a lock mechanism, the rear set can be pulled off in order to space luggage for long drives.

A 55W projector low beam lamp and a 55W halogen high beam bulb are the major attractions to the all new Thunderbird 500. Comprised of LED tail lamp and two digital trip meter, the motorcycle break up Royal Enfield's bad mark of being in the previous generation.

In fact the Royal family was missing a sporty and a fully cruiser motorcycle. Hopefully, the all new rockstar, the Thunderbird 500 now will have a mass business across the country.
