Honda to launch CBR650F in India by the end of 2015

Super bike comes to India in 2015

India is becoming the favorite destination for super bikes and luxury cruisers now a days. It is no wonder that Honda has decided to join the show. Honda will be bringing its new CBR650F super bike to India on 2015. Honda has officially confirmed the news at the Auto Expo that took place this year in Delhi.

CBR 650F

Bike is to be expected in Indian markets by the end of 2015. At the international market, CBR650F costs around $8499 (US dollars), roughly 5.07 lakh, plus import charges should put CBR650F in India at about 8-9 lakh. It is expected to compete with Triumph and Kawasaki who have been building a steady niche for themselves within the Indian market.

This four cylinder engine has a displacement of about 650cc, along with 87 BHP @ 11,000 RPM and 62 Nm @ 8,000 RPM. A 6 speed gear box is mated to the engine. Tank capacity is about 17 litre. PGMFI fuel injection comes along with this bike as a standard. As for brakes, we have twin disc brakes at the 320 mm at the front and 240 mm single disc break at the rear. The engine of this one is said to have been angled a good 30 degrees for better weight distribution. ABS is also being offered as a standard

Though it is being referred to as a super bike, CBR660F is not the one to impress the eyes right away. Body and styling is similar to the previous CBR models.

We can call this as more of an everyday use super bike as the engine and power have been tuned in specific ways to fit into you super ride and regular ride alike. Now that is something you don't see in every super bike. Honda is rumored to start another building facility in India, at Ahmadabad, Gujarat, where it will put these super bikes together.
