Honda May launch CB150R StreetFire on March 11

Honda CB150R StreetFire is expected to be tagged Rs.1 lakh.

One of the key players in the India two wheeler industry, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) is expected to launch its much awaited naked motorcycle, the CB150R Streetfire on March 11, 2013. The bike is purely a naked version of Honda's much applauded CBR 150R. Thus its technical specifications have been brought borrowed from the CBR 150R.



Getting debuted at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show, in Indonesia, in 2012, the bike was overwhelmed with many acclaims. Now the machine is already a trend-setter in Indonesia. So as the machines gets arrived in the Indian soil expectation are sky-high for Honda.

Honda has borrowed several equipments from its other motorcycles. This not only helps Honda to earn trust but also helps to mould out a cheaper machine. By appearance, the CB150R resembles us to be a baby CB1000R on road. Though it's not a fully faired motor-machine, it has its own beauty. With this the intention of Honda is clear to introduce a perfect street machine which is absent from the home of Honda in India. However, the exhaust and headlight look slightly sluggish.

Honda CB150R comes with a 149.48 cc, 4-Step, DOHC, 4-Valve, Single Cylinder engine. It is capable to generate a maximum power of 17.0 PS @ 10,000 rpm and maximum torque of 13.1 Nm @ 8000 rpm. Its engine is coupled with a 6 speed transmission.

Honda has done an exceptionally excellent job in moulding out it. By framing the machine on Diamond Steel Truss Frame, the company has not only decreased the overall mass of the bike but also increase the reliability of it. Honda never stings on riders safety. Mated with a hydraulic disc brake, with double piston at front and hydraulic disc brake, with Single Piston at rear ensure both sporty appearance to any spectator, and confidence to the rider. Telescopic front suspension and Swing Arm with Suspension Single (Pro-Link Suspension System) at rear energise the riders to go on more and more.

It is truly a budget start-up street bike to own. It is sourced to be priced around Rs. 1 lakh, so as to directly rival with Bajaj Auto's show stopper, the Pulsar 200NS. KTM Duke 200, Yamaha R15 v 2.0, Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Karizma ZMR are the other opponents of the machine.
