Kawasaki Ninja 300R to be Launched in India by Mid-2013

The bike was caught testing in Pune. The Ninja 300R may replace the Ninja 250R in India.

Not sooner, but anytime by the month of June 2013, we will have a green buzz on Indian roads, the Ninja 300R. In fact, the licensed dealer of Kawasaki in India, Bajaj Auto, was planning to launch the Ninja 300R by March. But, due to the arrival of KTM Duke 390, the very second bike of the Austrian firm in India, Bajaj had to postpone the launch date of the Ninja 300R to mid-2013. It is a very good move by Bajaj, unless both the Duke 390 and the Ninja 300R would be colliding and competing each other. This will confuse the customers to choose the right machine and will cause both manufacturers as well.



The bike was launched in the global market in September 2012. Recently, the Ninja 300R was caught while doing its testing in the streets of Pune. This breaking news resulted in the sudden column regarding the arrival of Kawasaki,s much awaited beauty. The sources also quote that Kawasaki Ninja 300R will be replacing the excising Ninja 250R from the Indian line-up. Even though the call is good for the sale of the Ninja 300R, the consortium may get hit less sale in total volumes. Because, the upcoming Ninja 300R is expected to be priced at least Rs.40,000 more than that of the Ninja 250R.

Kawasaki Ninja 300R is wedded with a powerful 296 cc, Four-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin engine. The bi-wheeler is capable to fire out gorgeous power of 39 PS @ 11000 rpm and dazing torque of 27.0 Nm @ 10000 rpm. A six speed gear box really adds joy to a hardcore sportbike racer. Provided a single 290 mm petal disc single balanced actuation dual-piston brake at front and a single 220 mm petal disc Caliper: Dual-piston brake at rear, the bike always ensure maximum confidence and security to the rider. Additional, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is available as optional. The customers have to shell out more money to own this edition. In order to comprise best ride in this class, Kawasaki has utilized a 37 mm telescopic fork front suspension and a Bottom-Link Uni-Trak with gas-charged shock and 5-way adjustable preload rear suspension.

Earlier we had reported that Bajaj had unofficially started booking for the Ninja 300R last month. Well, it,s yet to confirmed when Bajaj Auto will commence the official booking of the much awaited green motor-machine. The bike is expected to be priced around Rs 3.75 lakh.
