Honda to Launch Naked Bike CB150R Streetfire in February?

The Streetfire is exactly a naked version of the CBR150R.

Honda is becoming one of the key players in the Indian two wheeler industry. Since its arrival in the market with the launch of Activa, the consortium has been giving away what all the Indian customers has been looked for. Now the sources define that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is planning to launch the CB150R Streetfire in India in February this year. Earlier, Honda had announced that they would be introducing a new two wheeled machine in every quarter. It seems to be truthful from the sources.

Honda CB150R Streetfire

The CB150R Streetfire was unveiled at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show, in Indonesia. At the event itself the bike acclaimed many good reviews and marked excellent responses from motorcycle enthusiasts. Inspired from the ancestor CB1000R, the CB150R reflects very good design and sportiness. The bike is purely a naked version of the fully faired CBR150R which is currently exciting in the Indian market. So, the CB150R Streetfire is supposed to be mated with the same engine and technical specifications featured in the CBR150R.



The Honda CBR150R is equipped with a 149.4 cc, Liquid cooled, 4 stroke SI engine, which generates a maximum power of 17.6 hp @ 10500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.66 Nm @ 8500 rpm. Provided with a 6 speed transmission, the bike never drags behind to be driven. The top speed of the bike is 130 kmph. The CB150R which was unveiled at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show was wedded with dual disc brakes at front. It's not sure regrading the Indian version. However, a rear disc brake will be surely wedded. The CB150R will have the same diamond type frame that is seen in the CBR150R. Additionally, borrowing telescopic fork suspension at front and Mono suspension at rear prove the quality ride of the machine.

Earlier in the very beginning of the year, Honda had introduced updated version of Dio, Activa nd Aviator. It notifies the sincerity and keen interest of the company towards the Indian market. After the break up with Hero, Honda revealed their plans about the Indian two wheeler market. It said that the company aims to rule down Hero Motocorp within 10 years after their break of Hero Honda venture.

Honda CB150R Streetfire

The CB150R Streetfire is expected to be priced around Rs.1 lakh. If then, it would be a great challenge for its hardcore rivals, KTM Duke 200 and Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
