Coming Soon: New Mahindra 110cc Bike, Pantero

One of the major automobile brands of India, Mahindra & Mahindra's wholly subsidiary firm, Mahindra 2 Wheelers is planning to launch a 110cc motorcycle, the Pantera. The Pantera is the successor of Mahindra Stallio. The bike may get unveiled at the coming New Delhi Auto Expo in January 2013.

Mahindra Stallio

The Stallio which was launched in 2010 couldn't impress commuter riders. Poor promotion must be the main reason tagged with it for its failure. But with the all new Pantera things are revolving around. Mahnidra doesn't want to keep its unimpressed name and changes it to Pantera. The new bike will hopefully be more powered than its predecessor.

Any upgrades on the new Pantera are unexpected other than its some alterations in graphics and looks. The predecessor, Stallio was mated with a 106.7 cc, 4-Stroke, air cooled engine. It produces a maximum output of 7.3 PS @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 8 Nm @ 5500 rpm. Aiming the next generation commuter riders, Mahindra also inputs both electric start and kick start installed.

The 4-speed gearbox with constant mesh never tires city riders as well. And its steel double tubular cradle frame assures us a better reliability. The motorcycle provides a mileage of around 70 kmpl. Its top speed is 103 kmph. Mahindra is likely to continue an attractive warranty period of 4 years or 40000 kms on the Pantera, just like the company offers on the Stallio.

The major competitors of the Pantero are Hero Passion X Pro, Honda CB Twister, Honda Dream Yuga and Suzuki Hayate
