2014 Suzuki RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 Announced

The RM-Z450 and the RM-Z250 are offered with new features.

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc continues to talking about its 2014 product line-up. Earlier the firm had rolled out 4 new special B.O.S.S (Blacked Out Special Suzuki) edition motorcycles in the USA- the C50, C90, C90T and the M109R. Now the company had announced couple of its motorcycles in the motocross category. The 2014 RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 are the newly announced motorbikes.



The 2014 RM machines come with some sort of impressive upgrades. They feature aggressive race-inspired Champion Yellow-and-black graphics and updated ECM ignition programs that improve starting.

Both the motorbikes, RM Z450 and RM Z250 are well renowned for their performance. In 2011 and 2012, the Cycle World magazine remarked the RM Z450 as the best Motocrosser. In 2013, Transworld MX chose both machines as the bikes of the year. Also the RM Z450 was rewarded as the class-leader by RacerX.

2014 Suzuki RM Z250

The RM Z450 is powered by a 449cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine. Its engine is coupled with fuel injection system and electronic ignition (CDI), which ensure better fuel efficiency and better pick up. Its is mated with a 5-speed constant mesh transmission. While the Inverted telescopic suspension does the duty as front, the Link type, coil spring, oil damped suspension stands at rear. Each disc brake has been installed on each wheel. It has a 6.2 liters fuel tank as well. The RM Z450 is available in Champion Yellow / Solid Black color.

Equipped with a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine, the RM Z250 brings the beauty of motocrossing. It is yet to be beaten, says the firm. It has the fuel injection system and electronic ignition (CDI) packed. Its engine is coupled with the same 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. Moreover, Inverted telescopic and Link type come for suspension, just like in the RM Z450. A disc brake each at front and rear allow the rider to make sudden stops and to take turns at top speed. A 6.5 liters fuel tank is a bit bigger comparing to its elders sibling's.
