2013 Honda VTR250 & VTR-F250 Launched

The Japanese motorcycle giant, Honda Powersports launched the updated versions of couple of entry level premium motorcycles in the homeland of the company, Japan. The refreshed bikes are 2013 Honda VTR250 and 2013 Honda VTR-F250. Unfortunately, the VTR-F250 is only available in Japan. However, the naked model, the VTR250 is available in the major motorcycle market except India.



The VTR250 is a naked bike which is specially developed to pump through streets. Honda must be applauded for its engineering skills for enduring this traditional bike design that attracts even the next generation bike enthusiasts. The round shaped headlight, chrome rotated old-fashioned exhaust and dual instrument cluster reading revolution, speed and kilometer run, gives a cult feeling to the rider. Still, the trellis frame which has come out at both sides resembles a monster, and black painted engine and its surroundings ensure to be a present generation motorcycle.



Meanwhile, the VTR-F250 is way more stylish and roaring than its sibling. It,s just an ornamented version of the VTR250. The machine is semi-faired. So if someone is looking for a crossover of a naked and a faired bike, this would be the best budget machine anyone can afford. And if it is from the brand of Honda, its value increases. The machine is comprised of a new Y-shaped headlamp that pushes to give a sporty feel, and a much updated digital instrument cluster which helps to get known stuffs at a glance.



Both VTR-F250 and VTR250 are powered by the same 4-Stroke, 4 valves per cylinder, 249 cc 90° V-twin DOHC engine. These machines are capable to produce maximum power of 30 bhp and maximum torque of 22 Nm. Its engine is wedded with a 5 speed gearbox. In the market, these machines will be placed between Honda CBR 250R and Kawasaki Ninja 250R.



In the last week only Honda introduced a new brand, the CTX and couple of new motorcycles from the CTX brand, the CTX700 and the CTX700N. The bikes already got overwhelming response over the nations. Honda calls the CTX two wheelers as the first of its kind. The CTX series is a crossover of cruiser and sportbike. It comes with a 670cc, liquid-cooled in-line 2-cylinder engine. The interesting highlight of these machines is the option of DCT (dual-clutch transmission), by which gear can be automatically shifted.
