HMSI plans to expand its Research & Development facilities in India

HMSI(Honda Motor Scooter India Pvt. Ltd) is concentrating heavily in the Indian market as they are launching more and more quality products in India and they are investing in a big scale here.



Latest development is the plan of the company to expand its R&D (Research & Development) facility in India. The current location of its R&D facility is at Gurgaon ans they are planning to move this to their Manesar plant.

The suggested move will help the company to develop the new and face lifted version in more faster and cost efficient manner. The company will shift it to an integrated R&D set up in Manesar plant.



The company is expected to invest 100 crores for this set up and it is also aiming to double the number of engineers to 200-300. The new set up will help HMSI to style and design, prototype, development, testing and validation and component development with vendor to offer products faster at lower cost.
