200% growth reported in sales of new Mahindra Duro DZ

In India, scooter sales are at its all time best and as a result almost all the companies are introducing their own power scooters in the market. Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd (MTWL), a part of the US $14.4 billion Mahindra Group, continued to build its presence in the two-wheeler segment, in March 2012.

The company's recently launched Duro DZ scooter has received an incredible customer response across India with more than 10,000 units sold in March alone, resulting in an over 200% growth for the product, over February 2012.



Mahindra Two Wheelers' powerful 125 cc scooters cater to a range of consumer segments. Mahindra Duro DZ is positioned as a solid family scooter, while the Mahindra Rodeo with its very innovative, contemporary features is popular amongst young people of the country.

The company is expecting the product to become more and more popular among the Indians as the customers of this product now includes middle class people, women and even college going guys.
