Avenger may get a Pulsar 200 NS engine

Avenger was such a stunning looking bike from Bajaj which was in the lime light before the all mighty Pulsar series came into existence. The variety look and unique style of this bike had earned it a number of followers at that time.

A wide speculation has been turning alive since the last few months over the fact that Bajaj is planning to upgrade Avenger by putting the engine of Pulsar 200NS in it. Earlier also Bajaj has upgraded Avenger in the same manner when the engine of Pulsar 220cc was pushed into that of Avenger.

Presently Pulsar 220 is powered by a 219.89cc motor that is capable of giving out a torque of 17.5 Nm at 7000 rpm and a total power of 19PS at 8400 rpm. This is somewhat less than that of 200NS as it is powered by an engine which produces a maximum torque of 19.12 Nm at 7000 rpm and 20.8 bhp at 8500 rpm.

Now the news is almost true that Bajaj is keen to push the engine of Pulsar 200NS into that of Avenger as it wants to launch a newly upgraded and much more powerful variant of the Avenger into the market. Even now the demand for Avenger is strong in the market since it is one of the most reliable and commendable bikes to roll out of the Bajaj garage.
