Piaggio to give a tough competition for Honda in the scooter industry

This year 2012 will see an array of launches of a number of scooters from different renowned companies including foreign companies. The main reason for this launch is that increasing usage of the scooters by Indians.

All of the companies have realised the fact that Indian youth and the middle class people are leaving bikes and are gradually moving on to powerful scooters which will give same power and more comfort while driving.



Piaggio, the Italian company, which is famous for scooters is also trying their luck in India. Piaggio is expected to attract all those scooter loving customers of India with their quality products. They have already relaunched Vespa.

The company seems to be cutting down the prices to make it large in this cut tight competition market. The Piaggio Vespa is still high end when it comes to comparisons against other brands such as Honda or Suzuki products.

If the Vespa is a good success, the Italian company is planning to launch a number of new powerful and stylish products in India. So we can expect a number of superb scooters as the companies like Piaggio, Yamaha, Suzuki, TVS etc are entering strongly into the scooter market.
