A 15 Day Old RE Bullet 500 Catches Fire In Kerala

The owner is going to file a petition against Royal Enfield in the Consumer Court

It was a frenzied moment for Mr. Mohan Nair, an Excise Inspector from Trivandrum, Kerala as he droves his brand new Royal Enfield motorcycle across his countryside. According to the special reports of “Marunadan Malayali” an online news portal, his Standard Bullet 500 catches fire at a place called “Jagathy”. This 15 days old Enfield was recently bought from the Trivandrum Kazhakkoottam Royal Enfield dealership on January 16, 2017.

The Inspector manages to save his day off, as he was able to jump off from the motorcycle before the fire catches him and the whole vehicle. The fire was controlled within no time with the help of pedestrians and few locals. The situation would have been even worse, if he was on a go with his ride.

According to him, manufacturing defects has caused this incident and he is all set to file a petition against Royal Enfield in the Court of Consumer Disputes. And he is not ready to use this motorcycle again but demands a brand new RE Bullet Standard 500 from the makers.
