Honda to invest Rs.1000 crore in India

Both Hero MotoCorp and the Honda company are looking forward to make their presence felt strongly after their split up. Both the companies are trying their best in bringing out new models and popularising their products.

Briefing about Honda's future strategy Mr. Naresh Kumar Rattan said, that till now company has invested Rs 1,800 crore in Indian two wheeler market and now company intends to invest Rs 1,000 crore more in the coming year. Mr. Rattan also said that the 7 new unveiled variants during Auto Expo will be launched on roads during next four months.



According to Mr. Rattan the third manufacturing plant would be soon set up in Karnataka. To compete with Hero they launched products in almost all the segments. According to company reports, company projects to achieve target of producing 1 crore units by 2020. Besides, this company also intends to extend its market share from 15 percent to 30 percent by 2020.

Honda Motors terminated its joint venture of producing Hero Honda motorcycle from Hero Motors after taking away its share of 26 percent from the joint alliance. All this investments are intended mainly to produce a big response from Indian customers like the response they are getting globally.
