Following the successful path of KTM, now it's Husqvarna which comes into Bajaj's Chakan plant for motorcycle manufacturing. Husqvarna is a Swedish based motorcycle company, which is completely owned by KTM group. Hope you all know that Bajaj Auto has 47% stake in KTM Sportmotorcycle AG.
Bajaj has been producing Duke models since 2012. Now the new contract with Husqvarna will be a new achievement for the Indian firm.
The arrival of a foreign firm will only benefit the Indian motorcycle culture. Unfortunately, the launch of Husqvarna models in India will happen only by 2015.
Just like its parent firm, Husqvarna is known for off-road motorcycles. Under the categories – Enduro and Motocross, the firm has 14 motorcycles in the garage.
Presently, Husqvarna produces bikes ranging from 125cc to 510cc engine.
Recently, the firm had unveiled the 701 Prototype at EICMA Milan, which will be the flagship motorcycle of Husqvarna when it will launch in the market.
