Vespa By Piaggio Launches Fresh Scooters For India

The same classic look, a pinch of power added to one of the new variants.

The Italian football star, jersey number 10, the one and only Alessandro Del Piero did the unveiling of the two new scooters in Mumbai. Vespa is manufactured by Piaggio. Available in two variants, Vespa SXL and Vespa VXL, although both carry different abbreviations they have not much difference in their specifications. Overall the design of this newly launched scooters continues to follow the Retro line that Piaggio has portrayed through all their scooters that they have launched in India or else where to some extend.

The SXL and the VXL flaunt a Vespa S like rectangular headlamp. The side panels seem to have got curvier and overall the new variants do manage to look fresher than the existing line. Honestly, whichever Vespa model has been released to date might be having same physical characteristics to another model, but its always exciting to be riding on a Vespa labeled scooter.

Coming to the newly launched scooters, there's the SXL 150, SXL 125, VXL 150 and VXL 125. Powering these scooters will be the same motor that powers the current line-up of the Vespa scooters. The Vespa VXL and SXL will be available in a few color options. Vespa scooters are marketed as niche products in the Indian two-wheeler market. Vespa's entry into the 150cc segment scooters draws some eager competitors, who haven't explored that power in the genre of scooters. Pricing of the Vespa SXL 125 is ₹81,967 and the SXL 150 is ₹88,696.
