Honda CB Shine SP 125 launched in India

The Honda CB Shine SP that’s launched in India is priced at a starting point of ₹59,900 and that goes up to ₹64,400.

The 125cc motorcycle space is a special place for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. Along with leading the automatic scooter segment with its immensely popular Honda Activa, HMSI is also the undisputed leader in the 125cc segment, with its popular 125cc motorcycle Honda CB Shine. With a frugal, yet refined motor, comfortable ride and reliability, the Honda CB Shine is indeed a favorite, accounting for over 46 per cent market share in the 125cc motorcycle segment in India. And that’s not all; the Honda CB Shine is also the highest selling Honda motorcycle in the world. The new 125cc Honda motorcycle will be offered in a total of 3 variants. Though the Honda CB Shine SP gets no mechanical changes, it sports a handful of design changes that lend the commuter bike a comparatively premium feel.



The CB Shine SP retains a similar design silhouette of the CB Shine, with of course some new premium bits, which lend some sportiness and freshness to the bike. The CB Shine SP has new body graphics, 3D Honda emblem on the fuel tank, redesigned and dual tone side panels, blacked out engine, new alloy wheels, new headlamp unit, new part digital, part analog instrument panel, and a new chrome finish exhaust cover. The Honda CB Shine SP is available in 5 colours, namely; Geny Grey Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Black, and Red Rebel Red Metallic.

The new Honda CB Shine SP 125 is powered by the same 124.73cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that also does the duty in the regular Shine, developing 10.57hp at 7,500rpm and 10.3Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The new addition to the mechanical department is the five-speed gearbox. The regular Shine is equipped with four-speed transmission. The CB Shine SP measures 2,007mm in length, 762mm in width, 1085mm in height and 1266mm wheelbase. The motorcycle boasts of 160mm ground clearance, 124kg kerb weight and a 10.5-litre petrol tank.
