Honda CBR 300R Unveiled in China as World Model

Likely to replace the CBR 250R

The Japanese motorcycle giant, Honda, introduced its the next weapon to line-up in the entry level superbike class, the CBR 300R. The bike was unveiled at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition, in Chongqing. The motorcycle is proposed to be manufactured in Honda's Thailand factory. The CBR 300R is expected to hit Japan and other world markets in the beginning of 2014 and in India by the mid-2104.



Though the firm didn't disclose the details of the heart of the CBR 300R, the technical specifications of the machine are now available on blogs. If the bloggers aren't wrong, the bike will be equipped with a 286cc, Single cylinder fuel injection engine, which spells out a max power of 30.8 bhp at 8500 rpm and a max torque of 26.5 NM at 7250 rpm. The bike is coupled with a 6 speed transmission. 175 kmph is the top speed.

“Honda is exhibiting the world premiere of the CBR300R, a global motorcycle model for which Honda is planning to begin production in Thailand in the future. The market introduction of this model in China will be discussed in the future,” said Mr. Seiji Kuraishi, COO, Honda China.
