Honda Launches Refreshed Dio, Activa and Aviator

India's second largest two wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Private Limited (HMSI) launched upgraded versions of Activa, Dio and the Aviator. The company has also updated its two wheeler line up for the year 2013. Meanwhile, Honda inaugurated its new technical plant at the Honda Manesar plant. The new technical garage is spread over 10,000 square meters with the attendance of more than 200 engineers. It is comprised of all necessary systems under one roof. Here the consortium is supposed to develop fuel efficient and aerodynamic two wheelers utilizing an advanced wind tunnel technology.



To fill the roads colorfully tracked, Honda has introduced a new new color to the Dio line up, Pearl Yellow. Meantime, the current colors, Pearl Sunbeam White, Leblon Violet Metallic, Candy Palm Green, Sports Red, Matt Axis Grey Metallic are still listed. The technical upgrade causes the engine to be mated with Honda's newly developed Honda Eco Technology (HET) and will provide 11% more fuel efficiency than the presently running machines. That means, the Dio is expected to give back 60 kmpl. Passing through its technical specification, the Dio comes with the same 109 cc, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, SI engine but the inclusion of HET. Producing 8 bhp power @ 7500 rpm and 8.66 Nm torque @ 5500 rpm, the Dio ensures a better scootering. The scooter tags an updated pricing of Rs. 44,701 (ex-showroom, Delhi).




On the other hand, the Activa figures out the same alterations drawn by the Dio. The scooter is now onwards available in new Wild Purple shade along with its existing Geny Grey Metallic, Candy Lucid Red, Black, Orchid Blue Metallic, Armour Gold Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White colors. The major update happened with the scooter is regarding its engine. By which the same 109 cc, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, SI engine is wedded with HET technology in order to stimulate the faired bi-wheeler to be a fuel efficient commuter. The Activa develops the same power and torque fired out by the Dio. The scooter is priced at Rs. 47,188 (ex-showroom, Delhi).



At the same time, the flagship scooter of HMSI, the Aviator is welcomed with a new Royal Gold Metallic shade. The scooter is also available in Berry Purple Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Black, Monsoon Grey Metallic colors. Alike its siblings, the Aviator is also comprised of a refined engine that works on HET system. The scooter is priced at Rs. 48,212 and Rs. 53,531(both prices are ex-showroom Delhi) for the Standard and the Deluxe variants respectively.
