Moto Guzzi a New Motorcycle Brand for India

After Aprilla, the Italian classic automobile giant, Piaggio debuted its another subsidiary, Moto Guzzi in India. At the lately opened Northwards Motors dealership in Gurgaon, the brand Moto Guzzi will share the showroom with Piaggio's own premium motorcycle brand, Aprilla.

At present, Moto Guzzi has showcased only one beast at its showroom, the Griso 1200 8V. And its booking has been commenced. Customers those who book the superbike will be able to ride it by the first quarter of 2013. However, the officials haven't said anything regarding the availability of the special edition of the Griso 1200 8V.



Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V comes with a gigantic 1151 cc, 90° V-twin, 4 stroke engine. The two wheeler is capable to bring out a maximum power up to 110 HP at 7,500 rpm and an authentic torque of 110 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It has 6-speed gear transmission. To enrich a better drive, the bike is equipped with 43mm upside down fork with adjustments for spring preload, compression, rebound damping and radial caliper mounting on bottom sleeve at front suspension. Meanwhile, the rear suspension is molded on a single leverage with progressive separate gas reservoir. The 320 mm stainless steel wave dual discs at front and 282mm stainless steel disc at rear provide enormous confidence to the rider.

Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V

The machine has a dry weight of 222 kg. It has a fuel tank capacity of 17 liters. The certified mileage of the Griso 1200 8V is 16 kmpl and the top speed is 210 kmph. The motorcycle is expected to be priced around Rs. 16.5 lakh in India.
