BMW India, a whole subsidiary venture of BMW Group unveiled its upgraded version of 3 Series. The premium sedan was launched by the Little Master, Sachin Tendulkar. The machine has been priced between Rs.28.90 lakh and Rs.37.90 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The 3 Series is one of the most successful entry level luxury sedan in India.
Addressing the media Tendulkar said, "I drove this car this month in London. It felt incredible. To me above all being a car enthusiast, safety is also equally important. I am really impressed. It is absolutely stunning and the interiors are unbelievable. It has got a lot of space. Compared to the earlier ones, this is far more spacious."
The 2012 BMW 3 Series is available in 5 variants, one petrol and four diesel variants. The petrol variant, 328i Sport Line is powered by 245bhp and 350Nm. The engine runs in eight-speed sports automatic ZF transmission.
The other four diesel variants - 320d, 320d Sport Line, 320d Luxury Line and 320d Luxury Plus are authenticated by 2.0-litre turbo mills those produce 184bhp of peak power and 380Nm of torque. Alike the present BMW 5 Series sedan, the engine is mated with eight-speed automatic transmission.

Dr. Schaaf also reminded that the company will be launching its upgraded versions of four models- 6 Series, 7 Series, X1 and X6 in the next 4-5 months.
