The Swift RS is priced Rs. 24,500 above the standard models. The Swift RS is very limited in numbers.

Maruti Suzuki India launched the limited edition of its most successful car, the Swift, the Swift RS. The Swift RS variant is very limited in units and will be available only for some limited period. To own the sporty machine which is available in both petrol and diesel variants, customers need to make sure an extra payment Rs. 24,500.

It was only in the last week Maruti launched the limited edition of the Ritz, the Ritz @Buzz. It seems that the firm is in a real motion to pick back the lost growth of it. Earlier, it was reported that Maruti's sales was declined by 7.8% compared to last year. In June 2012, Maruti sold 88,531 units, while in June 2013, the largest car manufacturer of India could find only 77,002 customers. Hopefully, the new limited edition variants would bring in some new waves for the firm.

2013 Maruti Suzuki Swift RS Limited Edition

The all new Maruti Suzuki Swift RS comes with a sporty exterior and interior. Its blue-white-black paint scheme is sportier rather than the previously delivered Swift limited editions. A blue shade given at the bottom of front bumper, RS branding along with blue sketches on the bonnet, doors and at the rear portion mean a lot for a sporty-minded individual. Blacked alloy wheels, tinted glass, blue-black rear view mirrors with turn indicators, and a roof spoiler ensure more than for what we pay.

Getting in to the Swift RS, a newly designed upholstery crafted in art leather with black and blue colour combinations according to the exterior theme welcomes us. The floor mats are done according to the same rally RS theme. The special edition Swift has a high-end music system with CD player, AUX-in and USB facility. Well, staring at the Swift RS for the first time, one can doubtlessly say that the car was inspired from Volkswagen world rally cars.

"The Swift RS is in continuation of Maruti Suzuki,s celebrations planned around Swift model as it moves towards the 1 million cumulative sales mark. Swift not only pioneered premium compact segment in the country, it continues to remain the no. 1 selling car in the segment. Swift has cumulatively sold over 9.6 lakh units since its launch in May 2005," said Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing) at Maruti Suzuki India, while introducing the Swift RS.
