Dominar gets slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS, packed under 1.6 lakhs. Then who needs the buzzing Enfiled.

I think Dominar is an affordable version of Duke 390, with low torque and power figures. In order to compete with the Classic 350, they have to develop a retro-styled motorcycle based on the Avenger platform. Until then the throne is safe within the hands of Enfield

The Dominar 400 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350 seems like two motorcycles worthy to be a thing to compare for. But actually, these two bikes are different in many aspects. The Dominar have modern design and features, while the classic has a retro design with old engineering concepts like the air cooled engine etc. But what normal people and Bajaj itself should realise is that the Dominar cannot be a hard replacement for the Royal Enfield's retro line-ups. What Bajaj lacks is legacy and reliability. The Royal Enfield has its own merits and demerits while the Dominar 400 self-imposed to be something its not. The RE is a commuter as well as a cruiser while the Dominar is something like a cross over of a sports bike and a commuter. Here the BHP, Torque and other things cannot be taken into consideration as both the bikes come from different segments. And finally, Who knows Bajaj will not introduce Dominar 200, Dominar 180 and Dominar 135 in the near future. Like I said, the company lacks legacy, they may also ditch the Dominar brand when they get something better like they did with their Avenger.
