Good Bullet Mechanic or Workshop in Kochi, Kerala - Question asked by Vineeth

Hi,

Can anyone suggest me a good Royal Enfield mechanic or workshop in Cochin. I have a Bullet and want to do some modifications on it. The mechanic should be really good. I don't want to take chances.

There is a Enfield workshop near Edappally Changampuzha Park. The correct place name is Devankulangara. The workshop is behind the park. I have given my Bullet Machismo for servicing. He has done a pretty neat work. Till now I was servicing in Bangalore. Compared to Bangalore, Kerala mechanics are far superior.

The mechanic's name is Antony. He is not the main guy. The owner of the workshop is Sebastian. I haven't done any major works. Fixing the brakes, oil change, switches, accelerator cable work etc. I am 100% satisfied.

He told me that, he does modifications also. But the main center for modifying bikes in Cochin is near Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kaloor.

Ya I am from trichi I happened to be in cochin once the amount of money which I spent for my bullet repair in other workshop was too much and not at all satisfied but when I came to Togo I was fully satisfied with the work.

Guys he is not only the fan of bullet Mr Jaison Joseph . What he said is not true completely my vechile was also there for repair during his vechile recondition.he has taken his bike to most of the mechanics in ernakulam and brought the bike in a pathetic condition to rogo. So naturally it would take time and cost more to make it allright .and also he was impatient to wait until the work was over .and he just fo ught with the workers and took the bike off. And for your kind information.Mr Francis is just a mechanic and he goes to Rogo for engine work and lathe work. How can Mr Jamison compare a mechanic with a engineering work shop because the works done are totally different. Guys shold not criticice falsely about any one in an open sight.
Mr Francis was a student of Sebastian. Who is in edapally too he is a better mechanic.because I had a bitter experience with Mr Francis .so all have different experience with different people .I am a bullet owner for past 30 years and I know many people who r in this field and as well as I am a member of bullet fans. My comment is Togo is even better

fransis is not good mechanic...over charge.....and not completing mentioned works....one perfect examble.he is not a true in bullet mechanic...some minor wrks is ok .....not do major updations.

a guy in trikkakara Milton is good mechanic.....have a riders club "kalinga" ...work is superb....only specialist in RE ...and reasonable rate...my bullet is restored in there....crank weight increased to 11 and cylinder piston changed...rate 16000/- .

St Mary's Is Highly Avoidable/ Re Brand Store At Edapalli Is Slightly Better.. If Ur Bike Is Off The Warranty Period And U Need Servicing, A Uce Is Better Serviced At Re Brand Store. If It Is Old And U Need Mods Or Technical Changes, Go For A Guy Named Johnson In Fort Kochi.. Or Martin At Thevara.. Please Dont Go To A Store Called Rogo At thevara.. They fu..d My Uce.. Had Added Weight To My Crank As Well As A Few Other Changes.. Charges Exorbitantly And Work Is Not That Great.. They Frigging Stopped My Oil pump Functioning..

Guys, I have 2006 model 125 dtsi bajaj discover. Before 5 months I finished it's engine works. They billed rupees 12500 something. Then after 4 months I used carefully. iam a 99 yeat old bullet rider. Francis and Martin had screwed my bullet a couple of times...Milton is the best techy hand when it comes to RE, new or ol milton is the best. He is located near Cardinal high school trikkakara.

Rogo is utter waste. I love my bullet a lot an read on various review sites including this and decided to go to ROGO for my first out of warranty service. They have a standard bill for every one despite ur problems, i asked them to not to touch my engine, just told them to do some minor works like oil change and general servicing. When i went back for delivery, they said they said they changed reeds of valves with out my permission and charged me nearly 6k. First estimate given to me was 2k. If u love ur bullet and if its brand new dont go for ROGO. They are old mechanics who only know old engines, and even dont know how Bullet changed over years.

guys.. pls dnt bring your ride to any new mechanics for their learning class... if u want 100% satisfaction bring to any old experienced people who knows better modification Technics more over in cheap rates of parts. i know one person in paravur junction, aluva-airport road, opposite to petrol pump, it s not a big work shop, but he can do all your works in cheap rates with guarantee.. also you can buy used bullets (he will arrange and give u contact numbers of sellers without commission)... one of my friend bought a nice bullet from there for only 70k...

Sabu @kalamassery would be my suggestion like few others have already mentioned.
Before saying this I would like to warn you not to give your bullet for repair at @ milton place. Someone mentioned his name saying he's a nice guy. I totally disagree to that. He is one untrustworthy mechanic i have seen in life. Totally a cheat.Would ruin your machine. I am saying this because he's one a-hole who said the problems of camwheels and having myself bought the original new parts he returned the vehicle with other old cam wheels and keeping the new ones for himself. I would prefer to keep my language clean. But that person is one son of a . I am registering police complaints against him. Cheated worth 5.5k.

Mr.Milton who is a specialist in both new and old model. Restored my bullet to a perfect condition which was having serious problem which I couldn't find out. He restored my bike with reasonable rate.

Milton in Kakkanad is a fraud, By mistake I have given my classic 350 to him for doing a full service told hime to change the stock silencer with the shot bottle. I get it back after 2 days and paid 4500 Rupees. On ride didn't find any difference on riding. The brake pads gets locked on applying brakes gently, after few days while on riding, the silencer got off from the bullet. thank god didn't get any accidents . Even he doesn't know how to fit a silencer then how could he do a good service, He is very talkative person but in work I didn't find anything,

Please don't go to Milton Workshop in Kakkand.

Milton (Kalinga workshop Judgemukku, Thrikkakara). I saw a few good comments regarding this guy and his workshop. May be they are giving good comments only by the way he talks initially. This guy is a fraud. I gave my Standard 500 for service and seat cover change. They charged me 4500/- totally and I didn't find any difference on riding. For changing the seat cover they removed the back rest and said they have to put hole in the back rest and place it again. I waited 2 weeks and called in between for the same. But they didn't do anything on that. They talked rudely through phone when I asked for the same. At last, I took my back rest from them without any work done on that and gave it to another workshop which they fitted within a day.

So please don't approach Milton for bullet service/repair.

#Mr Rahul, if you don't know that guy ,just don't open your hole. I have known him since I bought my RE in 1995.
He is such a good man who doesn't charge much and is genuine. I am mentioning about Mr.Milton judgemukk.
He has got work experience in bullet for over 25 years.
There will be some reason behind your negative response, that's may be personal grudge.
Don't ruin some guys life by your rude character .

Hi friends
I know a bullet mechanic named sajeev for past 6 years.Name of his workshop is 'guru' and he's a neat mechanic.He wont indulge in fraudulent activities like using old parts.He won't compromise in quality even if the customer force him too.And moreover he asks us to buy the spares and handover to him.
The only problem is that he is a night owl and works from 12pm to even 4-5am and we need to make regular follow up to get our bike fixed(coz of queue of vehicles) otherwise it would take weeks.
But he's a brilliant mechanic .

Hello Friends,

My name is Vijay, I an having a Royal Enfield 2004 model. I asked my friends to take care of my bullet as I am working abroad. When I came back last March, I was shocked to see my Bullet. The person whom I gave my bullet made it like a scrap. All parts has been dismantled condition. At present I wish to repair the same to good condition. All the engine parts and chasis are intact, and balance parts should be new. Pleas advise me with the best trust worthy and cheap bullet mechanic near Thripunithura area.

Near Tripunithura there is SR AutoTech near the Mini-Bypass jn. He is old mechanic. He can do refitting. But will be always busy. One more mechanic is there near Naddakav, Youngsters from St. Marys started a shop opposite to Thayyil Traders. Shop name is Royal Bulls. I have good feedback about both of them. I prefer Royal Bulls as they use only RE parts and Consult with us for any major change/issue. The Royal Bulls are good at what they do. Its been a year and half since I am visiting them for regular service and repairs. Also SR AutoTech does repairing for all bikes. Royal Bulls is for RE alone.

Shibu located at Padivattom is a bullet mechanic with a decade experience . His workshop is home based. He always looks for the repair rather replacement-which is much easier. He is expert in old bullets & also deal with new one also. His approach to the customer is very kind & he educates the customer on the problem and how its occurred. His positive is he doesn't overload his job & only take few bikes for the repair. He is the batch mate of Fransis & Sebastian. I have overhauled my bike through Fransis, I went for a minor complaint but Fransis 'Ende vandiyilu Paninu Paninu Padichu, avasnam 20k bill adichu thannu'. Now am relying on this guy & am satisfied.

എന്റെ ബുള്ളറ്റ് electra 2017 ന്റെ പുറകിലെ mudguard ഒരു വശത്തേക്ക് ചരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു എവിടെ നേരെയാക്കാൻ പറ്റും. പല ബുള്ളെറ്റിനും ഈ problem കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ആർക്കെങ്കിലും നല്ല വിശ്വസിനീയമായ സ്ഥലം പറഞ്ഞു തരാൻ സാധിക്കുമോ

Please please I beg RE lovers to 'AVOID' Rogo engineering Thevara. I had some problems in my 2007 model Electra which I had taken to Rogo for rectification, he said that it would take 3 to 4 days to rectify and estimated cost was around 3500. I believed him, but I received my bike after a month and 10 days later, in between which he said that I had to change the crank weight etc..etc..I had to Shell out 14000 rs in the end. At the time of delivery of my bike he said that there will be no more problems. But just a week later I was stuck in the middle of container road with my bike not starting. I called clody and he said I have to get it all the way to thevara to check it. I managed to start my bike and reached Thevara Rogo again. He said it some problem with the spark plugs and he said that I had to purchase and put that by myself. Well I even did that and again the bike started to shut off while running. I realized that I had been cheated and became a laughing stock in front of my friends and relatives. Unfortunately my bike stands switched off from that day (almost a year now) since I don't know to whom I can take it to restore at a reasonable rate. But my humble request please don't take your RE's to Rogo, Thevara. Should be called Robber not Rogo... Also please suggest me the best and cost efficient professional to whom I can handover my Royal machine...

Guys.. I own a 2014 500cc Standard Bullet & recently moved to Kochi (Kakkanad). Recently started experiencing noise from engine. I got reference of a bullet mechanic named Babu from my house owner, My house owner is a retd. SI & Babu was taking care of all the bullets in the police station. Babu has been working on bullets since decades & knows the job well. I took the bike to his home cum workshop at Kollamkudimugal, trust me he takes care of bullets like his kid & do not take more than 2 works at a time. Listening to the noise itself he told what the problem is. He opened the engine & showed me the issue. It was related to my crank pin & shaft & had to be replaced. We took it together to Rogo who said it will cost 3500. I am waiting to get it done now. I will update futher on this experience. Babu's number: 9061312748.

So much of criticism abt Rogo are u all being paid for doing this. I started riding my bullet at age of 11 @ 1982 my father gets my bike serviced at Rogo during his college days. And that was the only kind of bullet workshop those days . Now my family has got 4 bullets including the latest one. Even now we get our bikes serviced at Rogo. They are quite genuine. And please understand that is an engineering workshop . It’s not a mechanic workshop. The mechanic names suggested over here in this post mostly are only mechanics they take the engines to engineering workshops get the work done. And these mechanics charge more from customers than bill given by engineering workshops and also they force for commissions from these engineering workshops for the work. That is why as mentioned the rates go high for customer. I always go directly to Rogo and it’s always a good experience for me. And to be true the main person in Rogo is a bit old now but still he is maintaining the quality. Rest all is what u experience.

If ur a bullet lover for maintaining the condition u will have to shell out money from the pocket not be scared . Or else there is plenty other bikes available in the market. Even though we r human beings . Think for your self is everyone perfect people make mistakes. But don’t crtisice Rogo so much bcos I know them personally for years.

ROBO blade aanu. Their works are not good nowadays. I 'd bad experience with them. Their servicing is not good. So my opinion is never go to robo, thevara
